world-domains

The groupant beside world/src/domains.rs in the Mova repository: what the code computes, what it never does, how to go back from its outputs, its invariants, cost and checks.

Facts

Implementation material. A Mova code model describes this code at one source revision: partial models, finite checks and their stated scope. It is not a reviewed general exposition, and its labels are shown as written, never raised.

Obernants

The typed relations around the forward model: the behaviour complement (what the code never does), the reverse reconstruction (every input compatible with an output) and specialised views.

world-domains

forward

Lexical domain inference composes configuration, expression/register evidence and an index-preserving judgment join on supplied annotations.

invariant

Stable compiled dependencies and successful bounded execution are premises. Configured lexical labels are not universal truth; finite checks are not general proofs.

cost

Compose scoped costs without double-counting shared traversals. External parser, knowledge, filesystem and teacher costs are not measured.

composition

Actual callers: domains supplies default_cfg; score_set classifies supplied Labelled rows; run/load_set/eval annotate and repair first. Native tests execute domains_with -> Matrix::global_in -> judge -> sense::arguments -> original-form reasons. tune/family build full default maps and alter explicit values; absent-map fallback is a deliberate public-API semantic repair.

epoch-memory

2026-10-30 initial source-bound epoch. Old native witnesses exposed role-index panic and spurious formal activation with empty overrides. Guards/default resolution repair these; explicit finite values and sparse-cell gap semantics remain. No optimization, surrogate or percentage bound is claimed.

checks

cargo test -p world --lib domains::wave11_models -- --test-threads=1. Root evidence.md records repeated profiles and mutants. Partial syntax leaves macro bodies opaque; no semantic AST, parser, teacher or corpus execution.

behavior-complement

Universe: terminating scoped calls and their outputs. Inner absent-behavior model excludes outputs contradicting: Stable compiled dependencies and successful bounded execution are premises. Configured lexical labels are not universal truth; finite checks are not general proofs. Unknown external behavior remains outside this exclusion.

reverse-reconstruction

Keep all scoped inputs and intermediate states consistent with child constraints and shared identities. Labels/reports discard information; no unique inverse or actual causal history is recovered.

coupling

Actual callers: domains supplies default_cfg; score_set classifies supplied Labelled rows; run/load_set/eval annotate and repair first. Native tests execute domains_with -> Matrix::global_in -> judge -> sense::arguments -> original-form reasons. tune/family build full default maps and alter explicit values; absent-map fallback is a deliberate public-API semantic repair.

All typed entries bind this scope and manifest source revision. Domain and observation/operator are stated above. Status: partial source-derived relations with finite evidence named in checks, assuming stable dependencies and bounded successful execution. Reverse relations preserve ambiguity, with no complete-search or causal claim.

Source SHA-256: 13f24f9b029a3987adb9558aa2625a1b45680e85f827c2ea7cc72b986675370b. Partial syntax SHA-256: 55d529256b7458fada0760e82d989533aa2ccebb9874bfe1ff36159f71e10895. Raw logs: $MOVA_DATA/runs/octopus-wave11-domains-2026-10-30/.

Eight native tests pass twice debug and twice release with identical normalized test identities/results. Four tests per source. Independent finite matrix oracle: 36 score pairs, 25 valid; four malformed JSON fixtures. Role oracle: 25 score pairs x active/passive, exact index/role/swapped tuples. Three gap partitions; three unsupported roles each on file/global. Domain checks: sixteen label subsets, exact reason dedup, six thresholds x two genres, eight partial-default overrides x four default/nonfinite values, empty/default equality and explicit zero preservation. Threshold join uses actual judge outputs as interface observations; it is not an independent classifier-truth oracle.

Old code: score_role_boundary panicked at index 2; missing_and_nonfinite_overrides failed on empty map. Repair deliberately changes absent/nonfinite public override semantics; tune/family callers build full maps and explicit zero ablations remain supported. Sparse known cells still abstain without gap provenance.

Compiled production controls: swapping file matrix role columns fails role_identity_finite_oracle; replacing inclusive humor threshold with strict comparison fails annotation_judge_threshold_join. Exact source bytes restored; all eight tests pass again. No live parser/teacher/corpus/learning I/O or whole-world Clippy result. No measured optimization or surrogate profile.

Only new wave11_models test fragments were rustfmt-formatted and checked; legacy production formatting is unchanged.

Two formatted source syntax runs are byte-identical. Two structural groupant reports are byte-identical and valid under an external registry scaffold: existing root plus these leaves, with one intentionally missing scaffold sidecar. Root ancestor integration is separate. Changed-source check registers both owned Rust files. Two legacy absurd::tests also pass.
