mova-nightingale-register

The groupant beside tools/nightingale/src/register.rs in the Mova repository: what the code computes, what it never does, how to go back from its outputs, its invariants, cost and checks.

Facts

Implementation material. A Mova code model describes this code at one source revision: partial models, finite checks and their stated scope. It is not a reviewed general exposition, and its labels are shown as written, never raised.

Obernants

The typed relations around the forward model: the behaviour complement (what the code never does), the reverse reconstruction (every input compatible with an output) and specialised views.

Model text

Descriptant

Register labels lang[-dialect]/style[+style] and their facets over the language's standard (dialect:X, style:Y; style general is the standard). Source: tools/nightingale/src/register.rs.

Forward approximant

parse -> Register; label() round-trips; facets() sorted, deduplicated; say() for English answers.

Invariant

label(parse(s)) = s for every accepted s; a facet list never holds style:general.

Cost

O(len).

Composition

Parent: nightingale.

Behavior complement

Infers no style from text; refuses malformed labels. Evidence status: source-derived model with finite checks, not a proof.

Reverse reconstruction

The label string is the whole state; parse is injective on accepted labels.

Tests

Checks

register::tests: round trips, refusals, composed facets. These are finite fixtures and measurements; not a proof.

First model, written with the source (the Nightingale: one per language under the Eel; a standard naturalness model with variety deltas).
